Full Practice Authority for Nurses added to the Federal Register

APRNs working in the US Department of Veterans Affairs

We are pleased to share the good news:  Alan Bernstein at the National Nurse Executive Conference, just announced that the Full Practice Authority for Nurses has been added to the Federal Register (link below).  

 https://www.federalregister.gov/articles/2016/05/25/2016-12338/advanced-practice-registered-nurses

This would apply to Advanced Practice Registered Nurses working in the US Department of Veteran Affairs. The proposed rule will open for public comment from 8:45am 5/25 and through 7/25.  They are inviting letters of support to be sent to http://www.Regulations.gov
